Designed to serve distinct market applications that require a lower cost reader, the M7 allows OEMs, VARs and system integrators to effortlessly integrate UHF Gen2 capabilities within new and existing applications such as printers, mobile and handheld devices. The M7 has been created specifically for several applications that share common requirements for tag support, protocol, performance, and security. The solution is ideal for printing and encoding, handheld reading/encoding, item-level inventory management, patron management, access control and asset management. |

The M7, which is smaller than a matchbook, offers enhanced reliability through improved anti-collision, and dense reader mode capabilities that can further support more EPC Class 1 Gen2 tags than any other comparable reader, allowing customers to fully optimize their application. The M7 operates over a wide range of frequencies (862-955 MHz) for global operation and includes an integrated low-pass filter to meet China and Japan regulatory requirements.
The SkyeModule M7 is supported in an enhanced version of the SkyeWare 4 demonstration and evaluation application included in the M7 Developer Kit. SkyeWare version 4.2 supports all of the latest generation of SkyeModules in a single application and includes usability enhancements and new performance evaluation tools that allow the user to adjust configurable parameters and assess the resulting performance of the SkyeModule in different capacities.
M7 Development Kits and modules are available immediately with support for FCC regulatory testing. Support for international regulatory testing will become available through a firmware upgrade at the end of March, 2008.
